Fourth of July Juneau 2009
It has been a slow journey into the photography world for me and I have just no begun to dip my foot in. I like to experiment with photos and this is one of my many experiments.

During the year I lived in Fairbanks I was lucky enough to make two trips to Denali National Park. This is a photo I took of the road that runs through the first part of the park. I love to take road pictures. There is something exciting and terrifying about a long road. I moved to Alaska from Maine when I was 18 years old and since then many roads have taken me many places. I used to have an overwhelming fear of change, but thanks to the many roads I have traveled that fear has been transformed to excitement.

I took this photo on the drive from Fairbanks, AK to Hyder, AK. I have driven the route between Fairbanks, AK and Haines, AK a couple of times and each time it becomes more and more beautiful.
